Once again it's been a long time and all the stuff we've done in the past month is old news to everybody. Yet I have received a complaint or two from Grandparents about not having posted any pics lately. Here is a bunch of pictures now and I hope everybody enjoys them.

The order of the pics is backwards. I apologize for my laziness, but due to the amount of pictures I am posting this time I am refusing to comment each and put them in the correct order.

Luke's first day of Pre-K and Lanis Birthday.

On our trip up north we ended up in Dover, Delaware to visit our good friends Zoe, Jason, Eve and Ella. Luke loved the beach and it was really hard to get him out of the water.

The pictures before that are from Knoebels in Pennsylvania. WE had a blast!!!!

Prior to our trip upstate we spent a few days in Philadelphia. We had a Family reunion, went to the Zoo, did a double-decker bus tour of downtown Philly, the guys went to a Phillies game,....

I could have posted about 400 pictures from our trip, but I tried to choose the nicest, cutest and/or funniest.

A beautiful summer day!

It has been so nice the last two days. It's warm but comfortable outside. This weather reminds me of summer in Germany. Beautiful, warm and enjoyable. Well, my husband would disagree with me right now, but he's not writing this blog...so, he doesn't get to. haha

We haven't been up to too much other than the regular family stuff. The kids and I have been trying to make the most of each day, which has been challenging. I'm sure Luke is so ready to do something else than be around his mom and sister. Lani is more easy going and we don't argue as much, so I think her tolerance for me is still higher.

Yesterday we went to Smith Lake for a Party of some good friends of ours. It was so nice to just sit and relax and not have to worry about anything (other than the kids of course). I just love that L + L are getting bigger. Believe me, every age has something nice, but I really enjoy my kids' independence. They just put their life jackets on (or Lani her muscle suit as you can see in a following picture) and they swim and jump in the lake over and over again. It was so much fun to to watch.

Luke picked out this poster for his room! He sits in front of it looking at all the little planets, stars, space ships and whatever else and all I hear is: Oh cool. Mami, Mami come look at this. This is the biggest....ever, right?

Fourth of July weekend

It was one of the funnest fourth of July weekends I can remember. PapPap (aka Rod) and Grandmama (aka Lenore) came in from Little Rock on Friday. Besides it being a holiday weekend we also got to celebrate Rods birthday on the 3rd. He loves strawberries, therefore the kids and I decided to make a yummy strawberry swirl cake for him. With the kids help the cake really turned out awesome and they even got to help PapPap blow out the candles. We only put six candles on the cake, otherwise we all would have had to help.

On the 4th we went for a dip in the cool pool and later that afternoon we went to Bridge Street. It was fun. We walked around, the kids and grandparents rode the carousel, had some pizza and ice cream and then listened to some music and waited for the fireworks. It was nice and relaxing with great company.

Life was good this weekend!
